MILWAUKEE (AP) - The Milwaukee Brewers keep making moves in the bullpen.

The Brewers reinstated Will Smith from the 15-day disabled list before their 3-1 victory Wednesday over St. Louis.

After the game, they placed right-hander Michael Blazek on the disabled list with right elbow soreness. Blazek, one of manager Craig Counsell’s key set-up men, said he felt soreness after giving up five runs in two-thirds of an inning in a 7-6 loss on Saturday to Cincinnati.

The injury doesn’t appear serious, though Counsell said the team was trying to be safe with Blazek. Jacob Barnes was called up from Triple-A to replace him.

Smith gives the Brewers a hard-throwing left-hander again in the bullpen. He sprained a ligament in his right knee while taking off a shoe in spring training.
