Dom Theodore, general manager of the “Glenn Beck Radio Program” on SiriusXM’s Patriot Channel, has accused the satellite radio company of suppressing dissenting voices after Mr. Beck was suspended for a week over on-air comments made by a guest.

SiriusXM suspended Mr. Beck after fiction author Brad Thor made ominous comments on-air last week about a possible Donald Trump presidency that some listeners interpreted as an assassination threat. Mr. Thor has repeatedly said he wasn’t condoning violence, and Mr. Beck came to his defense.

“As every listener of the show knows, Glenn has never — and will never — advocate violence,” Mr. Theodore wrote Tuesday in a blog post on Mr. Beck’s website, titled “SiriusXM Carries Out Glenn’s Prediction on Suppression of Dissenting Voices.”

“With every scandal at the Secret Service, Glenn has implored his audience to pray for the safety of the president and for the restoration of the Secret Service’s judgment and abilities,” Mr. Theodore explained.

“We have been preparing for an assault on Glenn’s voice, and others like it, which only reaffirms the importance and value of independent platforms like TheBlaze, platforms governed not only by ratings but also by principles and values,” he wrote. “We are grateful to our partners at Premiere Networks, our many local affiliates, and all of our extended partners who support and celebrate a diversity of opinion. We hope you will reach out to all of them and thank them for having the backbone and integrity to stand-up for all voices, even those with which they may disagree. We look forward to standing with our partners and affiliates to support a vibrant ‘marketplace of ideas’ and will continue to refuse to engage in the manipulative and bullying tactics of progressives.”

He said what happens next with the show is between Premiere and SiriusXM, and he called on listeners to let SiriusXM “know that the voices in support of our shared principles and values are louder than those who would attempt to suppress them.”

SiriusXM hosts Stephen K. Bannon and David Webb first announced the suspension Tuesday on “Breitbart News Daily.” SiriusXM said it will evaluate its relationship with Mr. Beck moving forward.

“SiriusXM encourages a diversity of discourse and opinion on our talk programs,” the company said in a statement. “However, comments recently made by a guest on the independently produced Glenn Beck Program, in our judgement, may be reasonably construed by some to have been advocating harm against an individual currently running for office, which we cannot and will not condone. For that reason, we have suspended The Glenn Beck Program from our Patriot channel for the coming week and are evaluating its place in our lineup going forward. SiriusXM is committed to a spirited, robust, yet responsible political conversation and believes this action reflects those values.”

Speaking with Mr. Beck last week, Mr. Thor predicted that Congress would not be able to control a president like Mr. Trump, and if “Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if he oversteps his mandate as president, his constitutional-granted authority?

“If he oversteps that, how do we get him out of office?” he asked. “I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office because you won’t be able to do it through Congress.”

Mr. Beck explained the next day amid backlash that Mr. Thor only meant Congress wouldn’t have the guts to impeach Mr. Trump.

“The agenda is to silence all voices that disagree with Donald Trump,” Mr. Beck said. “That’s all this is.”
