BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A man charged in the July 2014 death of a two-year-old in Shelburne has pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter.

Twenty-eight-year-old Joshua Blow of Shelburne was sentenced Wednesday to seven to 15 years in prison, with credit for time served.

Blow had originally pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Aiden Haskins. He had been the live-in boyfriend of Aiden’s mother.

The Burlington Free Press (https://bfpne.ws/1sqbMpP ) reports he entered the plea deal weeks after a judge tossed out potentially incriminating statements he made to police, saying officers violated his rights while questioning him.
