SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they’ve charged a 15-year-old Syracuse boy with fatally shooting a 32-year-old man during a dispute.

Syracuse police say the shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday on a section of Primrose Avenue. When officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Authorities identified the victim Wednesday as 32-year-old Tabarrie Tillie of Syracuse.

Officers at the scene were later told a 15-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle to be treated for a gunshot wound. Police later learned the teen wasn’t shot but had been injured in a dispute with Tillie and shot him with a handgun.

The charges against the teen include second-degree murder. Police aren’t releasing his name because of this age.
