PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Police in Portland say they are asking for assistance identifying a man who has assaulted three women in the city in the last few weeks.

Police say the assaults all happened in the area of Congress Street and they believe they are related.

The assaults were reported on April 30, May 24 and May 27. Police say the man grabbed the victim from behind in each assault. He also took money from the victim in the incident that was reported on April 30.

Police say the suspect is a heavy-set white man of about 30 years old with long, blonde hair and at least two lip piercings.

Police say anonymous tips can be reported by calling 207-874-8584.
