KINGSTON, N.Y. (AP) - The wife of a man allegedly fatally poisoned by her lover five years ago has testified about finding her husband’s body inside his car at a Hudson Valley shopping plaza.

Linda Kolman took the witness stand Tuesday in Ulster County Court, where 49-year-old Gilberto Nunez is on trial for murder in the slaying of 44-year-old Thomas Kolman of Saugerties (SAW’-ger-teez).

Prosecutors say Linda Kolman and Nunez, a dentist from Poughkeepsie, were having an affair when her husband’s body was found in November 2011 inside his car in a parking lot outside Kingston.

Authorities say Nunez poisoned him with a dental sedative and later called Linda Kolman to tell her that her husband hadn’t shown up for work.

Linda Kolman testified that when she found her husband’s body she at first thought he was sleeping.
