YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) - A Yonkers man will spend 25 years in prison for a shooting in a deli that left the victim permanently paralyzed.

Dimas (DEE’-mahs) Pedro was sentenced Tuesday for his March attempted murder conviction.

He went into the Yonkers deli in October 2014 and shot the victim at close range. Prosecutors say the defendant and victim had been involved in a dispute.
