LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The Albany County School District No. 1 Board of Education has voted to join a school district coalition seeking more state K-12 education funding.

The Laramie Boomerang reports (https://bit.ly/1XdWqRT ) that the district’s superintendent will be joining leaders from other school districts that are looking to address the Joint Education Committee meeting next week in Casper.

School district administrators say they are being forced to cut jobs as a result of state budget reductions in school funding.

The coalition Albany County has joined includes school districts in Laramie, Carbon, Campbell, Johnson, Lincoln, Sheridan, Sublette, Sweetwater and Teton counties.
