NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities have identified a man shot and killed in the drive-thru lane of a fast-food restaurant in suburban Philadelphia.

Norristown police say the dead man is 24-year-old Marquis Johnson, of Coatesville.

Police responded to reports of gunfire outside a McDonald’s in shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses have told police the victim was running for his life from two people when he was shot as he reached the restaurant’s outside message board.

Police found Johnson lying in the drive-thru lane outside the restaurant. He had gunshot wounds to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Montgomery County detectives are assisting in the investigation.
