ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) - A decomposing body found in an abandoned central Pennsylvania garage has been identified as a woman missing since Dec. 10.

The Blair County coroner says she is 29-year-old Catherine Copley, of Altoona. An autopsy was conducted Thursday, but results were not immediately revealed.

Altoona police say a curious neighbor discovered the body Wednesday morning after investigating a bad smell.

Copley’s family says she and her husband had considered buying the garage and nearby house when both were slated for a sheriff’s sale to cover back taxes owed on the property.

Nobody has been charged in the woman’s death.

Police say additional forensic testing is needed to determine the cause of the woman’s death.
