LAURELTON, Pa. (AP) - A coroner says a man’s body has been found near a burning car in a central Pennsylvania forest.

Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers says the death is being investigated and wouldn’t immediately identify the victim who was found about 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Bald Eagle State Forest.

County dispatchers sent the MIllheim Fire Company to the scene and that’s when the body was discovered about 10 feet from the burning vehicle.

Sayers didn’t immediately return a call seeking additional information Friday.

The forest covers more than 193,000 acres in Centre, Clinton, Mifflin, Snyder and Union counties.
