LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - Police say a motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a car in Laconia.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1U9V73d ) it happened around 3:45 p.m. Thursday on Union Avenue.

Police say the motorcycle had been traveling west when it collided with an eastbound car that was turning into a business.

The motorcyclist was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital and later flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The victim died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The occupants of the car weren’t injured. Authorities didn’t immediately identify the victim.
