MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) - Police say an 11-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was struck by a car while riding his bike in Middletown.

It happened around 4:15 p.m. Thursday. Police say the boy was trying to cross Vine Street when he was hit.

He was taken to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center with serious injuries. It’s not clear what his current condition is. He wasn’t immediately identified.
