SLATER, Mo. (AP) - A central Missouri sheriff’s department says two deaths at different sites appear to be related.

Saline County Sheriff Cindi Mullins says in a news release that two people were killed Thursday morning near Slater.

The department says 35-year-old Ryan Sanders died at a hospital after being found suffering from a gunshot wound. About six hours later, the sheriff’s department was notified of a deceased person in a home in Saline County. That victim has been identified as 83-year-old Bonnie Charlene Hupp, who also died from a gunshot wound.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control is helping with the investigation.
