ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Rapides Parish sheriff’s deputies say a Mansura (man-SOO’-ruh) woman is accused of draining an 89-year-old woman’s bank account of more than $30,000 during her employment as a caregiver.

Sheriff William Earl Hilton said in a news release received by The Town Talk (https://townta.lk/1sym1bI) 57-year-old Diana Randall faces 79 counts of forgery and theft of assets of a person of age or a person of disability.

Randall was arrested Thursday and remains in jail with bond set at $128,500.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Randall.
