WAKE FOREST, N.C. (AP) - Two people have died and several others were hurt in a head-on collision in Wake County.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol told local media outlets that the wreck happened shortly after 6 p.m. Monday in the town of Wake Forest.

Troopers said 33-year-old Renee Lynn Stokes of Wilson and 14-year-old Angela Rebollar of Louisburg died from their injuries.

Troopers say a truck crossed the center line of NC 98 and hit a van. The two who were killed were in the van.

Four other passengers were taken to a Raleigh hospital with serious injuries. Their names have not been released.

Troopers say charges are pending.
