COLONIE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 72-year-old driver had a medical emergency that caused his car to crash through the wall of his suburban Albany apartment building, knocking a sleeping 85-year-old man out of his bed.

Police in the town of Colonie say Donald Tuttle was driving near the Central Avenue apartment building around 3 a.m. Tuesday when he suffered a medical emergency and crashed into the building.

Officers say the car went through the wall of a bedroom and knocked Richard Quaglieri out of bed.

Tuttle was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he’s being evaluated.

Quaglieri is being treated at St. Peter’s Hospital for a head injury that isn’t life threatening.
