CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - The downtown Cedar Rapids post office will be getting a new name to honor an Iowa soldier.

On Monday President Barack Obama signed legislation that will name the office on 6th Avenue Southeast the Sergeant First Class Terryl L. Pasker Post Office Building.

Pasker was killed in 2011 while serving with the Iowa National Guard in Afghanistan. He was 39. The Anamosa native and Lisbon High School graduate was buried in Cedar Rapids, where he had lived four years with his wife.
