KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - Flathead County deputies have arrested a 29-year-old Kalispell man on suspicion of deliberate homicide after a young man’s body was found in a creek east of Creston.

Authorities began investigating after hearing about a possible homicide that occurred over the Memorial Day weekend.

Undersheriff Dave Leib said officers found the victim’s body Monday. An initial investigation indicated he had been stabbed several times. The victim’s name was being withheld while relatives were notified.

Robert Wittal was arrested Monday night and remained jailed Tuesday.
