ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say a man’s body has been found in Lake Lanier.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/21kLYqk) reports that Georgia Department of Natural Resources spokesman Mark McKinnon says the 34-year-old Maryland man was found dead in Bald Ridge Creek on Sunday. McKinnon says the man was tubing behind a boat when he died, but the cause of death is not known.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

McKinnon said no charges have been filed and that the investigation is ongoing.

The man’s death is the sixth time this year a person has died at Lake Lanier.
