ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Police have released the name of the 19-year-old man who was shot to death inside a downtown Rochester hotel last weekend.

Officials say Brandon Speers was shot in the upper body during a fight early Sunday morning on the 10th floor of the Radisson Rochester Riverside hotel on East Main Street. Spears died at the hospital.

Police haven’t released any other details. Their investigation is continuing.

Mike Ellman, director of sales and marketing for the 460-room hotel, told the Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester that the shooting happened during a dispute between two guests. He said the hotel staff learned of the shooting after a call from a guest.

Ellman said the hotel is putting plain-clothed guards in uniforms and adding more security personnel.
