GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A 32-year-old woman found travelling through Mississippi with nearly 16 kilos of cocaine and her two children unrestrained has admitted her involvement in cocaine trafficking.

Judith Noriega Hernandez faces 10 years to life in prison. She will be sentenced Sept. 15.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1ZOdlZv) Hernandez pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine.

She and her husband, 36-year-old Ramiro Hernandez, were pulled over in a traffic stop March 19 on Interstate 10 in Jackson County.

Hernandez and her husband have been held with no bond.

Ramiro Hernandez is set for trial July 5. He faces prosecution on a conspiracy charge and one count each of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and interstate and foreign travel in aid of drug racketeering enterprises.
