WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Three Wichita men have been charged with robbing a bank in the eastern part of the city.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says federal bank robbery and firearms charges were filed Tuesday against 34-year-old Raishat McGill, 29-year-old Andre Bryant and 25-year-old Elijah Shelton. It wasn’t immediately known if they had attorneys.

Prosecutors allege that one man waited in a car while two armed men entered Carson Bank in Wichita on Monday, forced employees to enter codes to open a vault and fled with cash. The suspects were arrested after running from a car that police were following.

If convicted, they face up to 25 years in federal prison on the bank robbery charge, and not less than five years on the firearm charge. Fines also could be ordered.
