SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Three sitters have been arrested, accused of taking nearly $32,000 from an 85-year-old woman.

Caddo Parish sheriff’s Detective Doug Smith said Wednesday the trio is suspected of stealing checks from the woman, writing them out to themselves and cashing them for a total of $31,875 while they worked for her between May and October 2015.

KSLA-TV (https://bit.ly/1Ys2VQG ) reports 34-year-old Andrell White, her 19-year-old daughter, Angelica White, and 65-year-old Willie Mae Thomas, all of Shreveport, face charges of theft of the assets of a person who is aged or disabled.

It was not known if any of the suspects has an attorney who could comment on their cases.
