CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities say a Natrona County teen has died after her truck veered off the highway and rolled down an embankment near Evansville.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1sFSXza ) that 16-year-old Trinaty Carlson, of Bar Nunn, died following the Monday crash. The condition of her 17-year-old passenger, Dominic Williams, who was hospitalized after the incident, is not known.

Wyoming State Patrol says Carlson had failed to negotiate a curve on the highway, overcorrected her vehicle and then crossed the center line before going off the road.

She was ejected from the truck and died on the way to the hospital.

Carlson’s death marks the 34th highway fatality in Wyoming this year.
