MARINE CORPS AIR STATION BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) - Marine Corps F-35 jets are conducting certain training maneuvers that residents in Beaufort may be able to see and hear in the coming days.

Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Clayton Groover says several of the warplanes are taking to the skies Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Groover says the flights involve abrupt and deliberate climbing and banking maneuvers. He says this training is similar to flights conducted in April.

If there are any questions, Groover says residents can contact the Public Affairs Office for the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort at 843-228-7225.
