MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The son of Rev. Billy Graham is praying for victims of the mass shooting at a gay club in Orlando as he continues a prayer rally tour.

Franklin Graham spoke to about 4,000 on the Wisconsin Capitol steps Wednesday, opening with a prayer for the victims, their families, doctors and nurses. Asked about his stance against homosexuality, Graham says he loves gay and lesbian people but that the Bible says homosexuality is a sin. He says they need to repent like all other sinners, himself included.

Wednesday was the 28th stop on his Decision America tour, a series of prayer rallies in all 50 states urging Christians to get involved politically.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation, LGBT advocates and interfaith leaders all organized concurrent events protesting Graham’s message.
