ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A western New York woman is going to prison for two to four years after being convicted for a third time of stealing from an employer.

Monroe County prosecutors say 55-year-old Deborah Amy Vendel was the office manager of Smith Automotive in the town of Webster when she stole more than $62,000 by processing fraudulent refunds on her personal credit cards.

She pleaded guilty to grand larceny.

District Attorney Sandra Doorley’s office says Vendel was sentenced Tuesday as a second felony offender because of two prior felony convictions involving theft from employers. She also must pay restitution to Smith Automotive.
