GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Garfield County authorities are reviewing evidence and looking for new leads in the seven-year-old case of a woman whose dismembered body was found in an apple orchard near Glenwood Springs.

The Daily Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/28DqIlj ) that the sheriff’s office has issued a public appeal for information regarding the death of Janine Ann Johler.

The Aurora woman had been reported missing in May 2009 before her remains were discovered the following month off Interstate 70 near the Canyon Creek interchange.

Search and rescue crews had returned to the Canyon Creek area in October 2009 to search for more evidence, but it’s not clear if their effort was successful.

Sheriff’s office spokesman Walt Stowe says sheriff investigator Megan Alstatt is going back over the case.
