HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Police say a surfer pulled a dead, unclothed man to shore on a Southern California beach.

The Orange County Register reports (https://bit.ly/1U7jyfm ) that Huntington Beach Police Department spokeswoman Officer Jennifer Marlatt says police have not identified the body, which was found Tuesday morning.

She says the man had no obvious signs of trauma and had been dead for an undetermined amount of time.

Marlatt says Huntington Beach has no reports of missing swimmers, so the California Department of Parks and Recreation is checking reports of missing people in neighboring cities.
