ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Bernalillo County authorities have identified a carjacking suspect who was killed after a shootout with law enforcement.

Sheriff’s Deputy Felicia Romero says that Ronald Delfino died early Thursday after a carjacking that left a 64-year-old man dead.

According to deputies, Delfino fled an Auto Zone in the victim’s car and was pursued by officers.

Both deputies and Albuquerque police forced him to stop and traded gunfire with him.

He was shot and died at the scene.

According to online court records, Delfino had four active warrants for DWI-related charges and two other warrants in Raton for DWI and battery.

At age 15, he and another teen were accused of shooting at the car of an off-duty Albuquerque police officer in an incident of road rage.
