CHESTER, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say a woman has been rescued from a canoe that capsized on a Connecticut lake, but a search is underway for a man who’s missing.

State environmental conservation police say the two people, both 49 years old and from Chester, set out in the canoe on Cedar Lake in Chester around 6:45 p.m. Saturday. After the boat capsized, the woman was rescued by a nearby vessel. She has been taken to a medical clinic for treatment.

Local fire departments and environmental conservation police are searching for the man.
