SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Firefighters in Utah have made significant gains in fighting three wildfires in the southern part of the state.

The U.S. Forest Service said Saturday that a 350-acre wildfire near Cedar City is now 30 percent contained. The blaze is threatening 20 structures including homes and out buildings.

Another fire about 2 miles south of that one has burned roughly 105 acres but is now 60 percent contained. Crews there say they have made progress in securing containment lines and are mopping up hot spots.

A third fire has burned nearly 160 acres about 2 ½ miles southwest of the town of Pine Valley.

No evacuations have been ordered.

All three fires were sparked by lightning.

Cedar City is about 250 miles southwest of Salt Lake City.
