SALINA, Kan. (AP) - Salina now has direct air service to Denver.

Great Lakes Airlines is offering two daily nonstop flights to Denver Monday through Friday, and multiple flights each weekend. Once the schedule is finalized July 9, there will be one nonstop, roundtrip departure and arrival every Saturday and Sunday.

The Salina Journal reports (https://j.mp/1W1eOg3 ) the Cheyenne, Wyoming-based airline made its first Salina to Denver flight Wednesday. The original launch had been scheduled for April 1, but was delayed until federal screening services were approved for the airport.
