NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - A man was shot while riding his bicycle in New Haven early Saturday morning.

WVIT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1tBSX3Z) the 25-year-old man was shot twice in the stomach around 2:30 a.m. in front of a homeless shelter on Sylvan Street.

The victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.

Police were still searching for the suspect, who fled the scene in a vehicle. Police have not provided a description of the vehicle. No further details were immediately available.
