BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - A man is facing charges in the rape and kidnapping of two women in Bellingham as well as sexual assaults in 2015 and 2003.

The Bellingham Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1UhCvRS) surveillance images of a man and a vehicle led police to an Oldsmobile owned by 36-year-old Edmund Richard Olivas Jr.

He was arrested after the layout of his van matched a description provided by two 18-year-old women who told police a man kidnapped them in May.

The women say they were forced to perform oral sex on the man.

Public defender Jon Komorowski declined to talk about the case or address bail.

Olivas is being held on three counts of rape and kidnapping.

Bail is set at $1 million.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with tips should contact detectives.
