VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) - The Barnes County Historical Society is hosting an 18-foot-long fossilized triceratops named Gundy as its newest exhibit.

WDAY-TV (https://bit.ly/1UevFHy) reports that the North Dakota Geological Survey is lending Gundy to the museum in Valley City.

Gundy, a very complete fossil, was found in the southwest part of the state in 1992.

Curator Wes Anderson says that it’s not common to walk into a small museum and find a dinosaur. Anderson says that it is “a remarkable thing to run into, and it is here.”
