BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A Baton Rouge woman has been booked into jail on two counts of filing false public records after officers say she faked two burglaries and blamed her former roommate for the most recent one.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1tC9CV7 ) East Baton Rouge sheriff’s deputies on Friday arrested 26-year-old Anastacia Goings.

A sheriff’s report says Goings claimed a TV, a video streaming device and a video game were stolen, and that someone poured bleach on her mattresses.

Deputies interviewed the roommate, who said she hadn’t been to the home since May. She also said Goings previously faked burglaries, including in November when she reported her vehicle had been broken into so she could collect insurance money - an incident deputies say they confirmed.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Goings has an attorney.
