MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Fourth of July festival is returning to Minot’s Roosevelt Park after a two-year hiatus.

The Minot Daily News (https://bit.ly/1rsTaVb ) reports that the event is being revived with a slate of family events.

Elly DesLauriers of Minot Park District says the city of Minot and its residents deserve a celebration for the Fourth of July.

This year, the festival will emphasize patriotism, and first responders and people who have served in the military are set to be honored.

The event will include family entertainment and music.
