BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - A symposium on land records and genealogy is scheduled for July 15-16 at the Southeast Community College campus in Beatrice.

The cost for one day is $79 or both days for $109. There also will be a dinner on the evening of July 15 at the Homestead National Monument. It will cost $22 per person.

The registration deadline is July 6. People may register by going online to www.southeast.edu/continuing and click on the Register Now button. Type Genealogy in the keyword search box.

The July 15 speakers will include Australian journalist Christine Kenneally, who wrote the book, “The Invisible History of the Human Race.” The July 16 speakers will include Evie Bresette, who will focus on land records.
