ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Four peregrine falcons that hatched atop an Ann Arbor hospital are getting names that offer a nod to the University of Michigan.

The Ann Arbor News reports (https://bit.ly/1sOkqP4 ) the chicks from University Hospital are named Jim, Hail-y, Ann and Chad.

The recently selected names pay tribute to Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh, a rallying cry for the school, the university’s Ann Arbor hometown and Chad Carr, former Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr’s 5-year-old grandson who succumbed to cancer.

The university picked names after receiving more than 100 suggestions in an online naming contest via Twitter. It’s the fourth year for the online contest.

The chicks were banded in late May so they can be tracked by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Staff identified two males and two females.
