MIAMI (AP) - Authorities have found the car they believe is connected to a 9-year-old girl who went missing from her home in southwest Florida, but say there’s no sign of the girl or the man believed to be with her.

An Amber Alert was issued Thursday afternoon, some four days after Diana Alvares was reported missing. Her mother told investigators Diana wasn’t in her bed when she went to check on her Sunday morning.

The News-Press (https://tinyurl.com/hxmjphv) reports the tan Chevrolet Malibu was located but Lee County Sheriff’s officials offered no further details about the case or where the car was found.

The child has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a short-sleeve shirt and shorts.
