ESSEX, Vt. (AP) - Police say a 24-year-old Burlington woman has succumbed to injuries she sustained in a crash involving two motorcycles and an all-terrain vehicle in Essex.

Crystal Santana was pronounced dead Wednesday morning at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Capt. George Murtie says Santana was a passenger on one of two motorcycles that were involved in a collision with an ATV that occurred Tuesday night on state Route 128.

Police say a total of four people were injured in the crash.

The driver of the ATV, a 41-year-old Essex man, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol with serious injury resulting. Police haven’t said whether the man will face additional charges following Santana’s death.

Essex police are continuing to investigate with help from Vermont State Police.
