BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Many of North Dakota’s state parks are recognizing National Trail Day on Saturday.

The designated day encourages people to get outdoors and be active by walking, hiking or biking.

The state Parks and Recreation Department says eight North Dakota parks will be hosting events. They are Beaver Lake, Cross Ranch, Fort Abraham Lincoln, Fort Ransom, Fort Stevenson, Grahams Island, Icelandic and Lake Metigoshe.
