DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - Permanent roof repairs are expected to begin Thursday on a Dubuque County school damaged by a weekend storm.

Some students had to go to different rooms for classes Wednesday as Sageville Elementary School reopened. Part of the school’s roof was ripped off Saturday, allowing water to pour into several classrooms and a hallway. A temporary roof shielded students and staff as classes resumed.

The school sits just north of Dubuque.
