BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police say an argument over gas money sparked a knife fight in which a man was stabbed several times.

Police said in a news release 35-year-old Jeffery Allen Upkins was arrested Tuesday on a count of aggravated second-degree battery in the stabbing on May 17.

The police report says Upkins and the unidentified man were sitting in a vehicle when they began fighting over money, and Upkins pulled out a pocket knife that had been tucked in his clothing.

Upkins is being held on a $20,000 bond.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for him.
