RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - The National Weather Service says creeks and streams in much of central Wyoming will be on the rise through this weekend.

Warm temperatures will increase snowmelt significantly with maximum snowmelt runoff occurring early next week.

Smaller creeks and streams will be running near bankfull by early Monday with main stem rivers running at moderate to high levels by the middle of next week. Minor flooding along small streams and creeks may occur over low lying areas and near creek and stream confluence locations.

The Little Wind River near Riverton is expected to peak near flood stage by next Wednesday afternoon. The Big Wind River at Riverton is expected to crest between action stage and flood stage by early on the morning of June 9.
