ORANGE, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts woman can check something off her bucket list: She celebrated her 87th birthday by skydiving.

The Recorder reports (https://bit.ly/28JoDcS ) Janis Lefebre’s children bought her the skydiving package from Jumptown, a skydiving center based in Orange, after learning that jumping out of a plane was something she always wanted to do.

A crowd of family and friends gathered on Sunday to cheer on Lefebre’s descent from 13,500 feet.

Lefebre says her first try was “perfect.” She says skydiving lived up to her expectations and she wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

Lefebre’s family members think Lefebre might go running with the bulls in Spain or ride in a racecar for her next birthday. Her daughter Lori Craig says her mother “wears us out.”
