BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota officials are reminding motorists to use extra care and watch out for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Gov. Jack Dalrymple is slated to sign a proclamation Tuesday announcing this week as “North Dakota Share the Road Safety Week.”

The event is slated for the state Capitol grounds.

It also will feature a pledge for people to drive “distraction free.” The pledge will be led by families who have had loved ones who were killed on bicycles by motorists.
