HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Police say they’re searching for the suspect who beat a man to death who had been walking home from a relative’s wedding in Pennsylvania’s capital city.

Police say they found 32-year-old Steven Esworthy lying on a sidewalk and bleeding early Sunday morning. He had suffered head and neck trauma after being hit with an unknown object.

Emergency responders pronounced Esworthy dead at the scene.

Investigators say he had been alone and may have been intoxicated.

The man suspected in the slaying ran off after being seen rummaging through Esworthy’s pockets.

Police are investigating.

Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2000 for information leading to an arrest.
